At the IAS President’s initiative, a working group with representatives from several branches (UK, US, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland and Japan, and now Spain as well) have met to set up a secondary school teachers’ branch or arm of the society.
Its main aims are to:
- inspire interest in teaching the Arthurian stories to pupils in secondary schools
- provide models of engagement (within and outside the curriculum) with texts and ideas from the Arthurian tradition
- provide a forum for exchange of good practice
- facilitate continuous professional development, with a view to applying for funding to formalise this initiative

The network organised four meetings, some of which are available online:
